The OHSAA football playoffs are nearly upon us as we enter week 9 of the regular season coming up on Friday. With that, another set of computer rankings were released on Tuesday, showing us who would qualify if the playoffs began today.
Swanton remained in fourth place in Division V, Region 16, despite suffering a 41-23 loss at Wauseon Friday night. The Bulldogs finish up by hosting Liberty Center this Friday and Delta the following week.
Also in the area, Wauseon moved up to the top spot in Division IV, Region 12, after beating Swanton. The Indians were third in last week’s poll. They are at Evergreen and home against Patrick Henry to finish the season.
As for Delta, the Panthers sit at eighth in Division VI, Region 20. Delta was seventh last week before moving to 5-3 on the season with a 13-5 win at Bryan.
Liberty Center (5-3) sits ahead of the Panthers at seventh in Region 20.
