Swanton took second in a pair of matches last week following a win over Northwood last Monday.

In a home non-league tri-match with Whitmer and Central Catholic Wednesday, the Bulldogs tallied a 181 team total. Whitmer was first with 174 points, while Central Catholic was third with 200.

For Swanton, Austin Luce earned medalist honors by shooting a 39. Randy Slink followed with a 46, while Zach Schaller and Sam Betz each added a 48.

On Thursday, at Pike Run Golf Course in Ottawa, the Dogs finished with a 170 behind Archbold, who shot a 151. Patrick Henry took third in the Northwest Ohio Athletic League tri-match at 177.

Luce led them with a 41, Garrett Swank 42, Betz 43, and Slink 44.

The result created a four-way tie for first with Swanton, Archbold, Wauseon, and Bryan.

At Valleywood last Monday, the Dogs bested Northwood 163-215 in a head-to-head matchup. Luce shot a 37, and Slink was next with a 39. Carter Swank added a 43, and Betz 44.

Swanton hosts Delta and Bryan today in a league tri-match. The NWOAL Golf Invitational at Auglaize Golf Club in Defiance is this Friday beginning at 9 a.m.

Currently, there is a four-way tie atop the league standings with Bryan, Swanton, Wauseon and Archbold all at 4-1.
