Swanton won with a tie break over Archbold to take home the title at the Detwiler Golf Invitational Friday.
The Bulldogs and Bluestreaks each held a 321 team score, so the tiebreaker came down to each team’s fifth golfer. Swanton’s Randy Slink shot a 93 to beat out Drew McCarthy of Archbold who had a 94.
Leading the Dogs was Austin Luce with a 74, Garrett Swank 77, Carter Swank 80 and Sam Betz 90. Zach Schaller also had a 93 for Swanton.
For Archbold, Kade Kern shot a 75, Kreighton Sims 79, AJ Mahnke 83 and Mitch Grosjean 84.
On Thursday, Swanton bested Elmwood in a home match 166-221. Their top four were Garrett Swank at 39, Luce 40, Slink 43 and Carter Swank 44. Betz added a 47 and Schaller 50.
Swanton has a home match against Toledo Christian today at 4 p.m., then the Dogs head to Birch Run Golf Course to take on Elmwood Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
