Swanton fifth in Northwest Ohio Athletic League all-sports competition


Bryan wins titles for both

The Northwest Ohio Athletic League all-sports championships have been decided with the conclusion of the 2017-18 spring sports season.

Bryan won both the boys and girls championships. Swanton was fifth in both.

Bryan won the boys title with 55 points, Wauseon was second with 54 points, Archbold third with 53.5, Liberty Center fourth with 40.5, Swanton fifth with 38, Delta sixth with 31.5, Evergreen seventh with 24.5 and Patrick Henry eighth with 23.

NWOAL boys fall team champions include Archbold (football, golf, soccer) and Liberty Center (cross country). Winter champions include Wauseon (wrestling and basketball) and Bryan (bowling). Spring team champions include Bryan (baseball) and Wauseon (track).

In the girls race, Bryan was first with 44 points, Wauseon second with 39, Archbold third with 34, Liberty Center fourth with 33.5, Swanton fifth with 30, Delta sixth with 24.5, and Evergreen and Patrick Henry tied for seventh at 21.
