Junior high track excels at Lakota Invite

The Swanton Junior high track and field teams represented well at the Lakota Invitational Friday with the girls winning first place out of 13 teams and the boys coming in second out of 15 teams.

First place finishes by several paced the Bulldog teams. Garrett Swank came in first for pole vault at a height of 8 feet, 6 inches. Bryce Marvin was first in shot put with a throw of 41 feet, 3 inches.

For the girls, Trista Eitniear won both the shot put with a throw of 32 feet, 7 and 1/2 inches, and the discus at 81 feet.

The girls relay teams won all three relays.

For the 4×100, Audrey Szalapski, Alaina Pelland, Megan Haselman and Rheanna Kessler won with a time of 56.90. In the 4×200 it was Szalapski, Pelland, Haselman and Lilly Alfsen with the win and a time of 2:05. Finally in the 4×400, the team of Jayden Hendricks, Macy Pawlowicz, Pelland and Brooke Dockery won with a 4:42.50 time.
