Five Biddy Bulldogs will be competing for a state wrestling title at the upcoming 2017 OAC Grade School State Championship.

Making it for Swanton was Landon Hendricks at 55 pounds in Division I, Chase Godwin at 65 pounds and Dominic Cook at 85 pounds in Division II, and Kaiden Bryan at 85 pounds and Evan Smigelski at heavyweight in Division III.

The hometown grapplers competed in multiple OAC district tournaments throughout the season, and placed in the top four for their division and weight class in order to advance to the state tournament.

The OAC Grade School State Championship will be held on March 25-26 at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown.

The team will be leaving for Youngstown this Friday, March 24 at 11:30 a.m. They will be escorted out of town by the Swanton Police & Fire Departments. Anyone wishing to cheer the boys on can line up along Main Street for their farewell. Fans can also watch the tournament online at www.flowrestling.org.
