The Swanton Junior High wrestlers competed in the OAC District Tournament held at Oregon Clay High School Sunday. The top six wrestlers from this event move onto the state tournament March 18-19 at The Covelli Center in Youngstown.

Three Bulldogs in Ian Saunders, Bryce Marvin and Brodie Stevens will be making the trip to Youngstown on the 18th.

Stevens punched his ticket by capturing the district championship in the 249-pound weight class, with a pin over Tayven Halbisen of Gibsonburg in the finals. Saunders pinned his way to the championship final, but then fell to Alex Garee of Perrysburg to finish as district runner-up.

Marvin had a upsetting loss to Dylan McCandles of Bryan in the consolation semifinal that he was not able to overcome. He fell in his final match to Caleb Mullican of Sylvania to place sixth in the 176-pound weight class.
