There is little change for area high school teams when it comes to what division they will compete in during the first part of the 2015-16 school year. The Ohio High School Athletic Association has announced divisional breakdowns for fall sports.
In girls soccer, Swanton and Delta will continue to be in Division III. League foe Archbold is also in Division III, while Wauseon stays in Division II.
Notably, Ottawa-Glandorf, the state runner-up in Division III and an early season foe of Swanton, has moved up to Division II this season.
As for boys soccer, it is more of the same. Swanton will stay in Division III along with Delta and Archbold, while Wauseon remains in Division II.
Swanton, with a boys enrollment of 178 in grades 9-11, was somewhat close to the Division II cutoff of 185. The Bulldogs are the defending district champions and finished tied with Wauseon for second in the NWOAL last season.
In volleyball, there is no change. Swanton, along with Evergreen and Delta will continue to compete in Division III.
In boys golf, Swanton and Delta will be Division II, while Evergreen is Division III. With girls golf having an enrollment cutoff of 295, any Fulton County teams will be Division II.
In Cross Country, Swanton will run in Division III along with Evergreen and Delta.
