The Swanton Bulldogs are ranked in the first Associated Press high school football poll of the season. Swanton, who is 3-0, is ranked 10th in Division V.

Defending state champion and perennial power Coldwater is ranked first. Swanton’s opponents in last year’s playoff regional semifinal, Milan Edison, is ranked sixth.

Also in the area, Liberty Center is ranked second in Division VI, earning four first place votes. Their opponent this week, rival Patrick Henry, is ranked seventh.

Both teams are off to 3-0 starts.
