Ottawa Hills runs past Evergreen

TOLEDO – Will Petro ran for 132 yards and three touchdowns, and Tyler Overmyer had 110 yards and two scores as Ottawa Hills rushed for 373 yards in a 55-12 win over the young Evergreen Vikings Friday.

Petro broke three tackles and ran 66 yards on the second play of the game to give the Green Bears a lead they never relinquished.

Sophomore Hunter Van Wert had scoring runs of 44 and 11 as he gained 78 yards in 11 carries to lead the Viking offense.

Freshman quarterback Jack Etue was 4 of 7 for 71 yards.

Evergreen, now 0-3, will host Bryan Friday night at Pifer Field.
