Derick Stoup will leave his post as Evergreen High School athletic director after two years on the job. He has accepted a position as the Dean of Students at Whitmer.
Hired around this time two years ago, Stoup feels the things he has accomplished will help Evergreen athletics both now and in the future.
“Evergreen is a phenomenal place. I chose to come here and help positively grow the Evergreen Athletics programs. I feel I have done that. I feel in my tenure, Evergreen Athletics has grown in the right direction, and many pieces to a large puzzle have begun to be put together,” said Stoup.
He is thankful for his time at Evergreen, and will look for its athletics to flourish in the future.
“I know our athletic programs are moving in the right direction and we have some seasoned coaches and newly hired staff that have hit the ground running to cultivate and grow that winning culture I set out to establish,” he said. “I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to lead Evergreen Athletics, make some authentic relationships that will last a lifetime, and have some fun while doing it.”
