The Northwest Ohio Athletic League recently released its all-league football teams and many locals received high honors on the gridiron.

Of course, outright league champion Archbold was well represented. Quarterback DJ Newman was picked as the NWOAL Offensive Player of the Year, while David Dominique was the league’s coach of the year for the second straight season.

Liberty Center linebacker Owen Johnson was the league’s defensive player of the year.

Also garnering first team all-league offense for the Blue Streaks were running back Carson Dominique, receiver Gavin Bailey, tackle Hayden Dickman, and center Brian Burrowes.

First team all-league defense for Archbold were defensive end Devon Morris, linebacker Cayden Alvarado, and defensive back Karter Behnfeldt.

Josh Tresnan-Reighard of Delta was a first team all-league running back and first team all-league linebacker.

Guard Zane Shindorf was also first team all-league offense. Austin Kohlhofer, a defensive lineman for the Panthers, notched first team all-league honors.

For Evergreen, Landen Vance made the first team as a specialist. Cole Mitchey of Swanton was first team all-league specialist as well.

Leading Wauseon was Jonas Tester, a first team all-league offensive selection at receiver, first team all-league on defense at defensive back, and on special teams as a return man.

Furthermore, Jude Armstrong of Wauseon joined Tester as a first team all-league defensive back. Wauseon’s Matt Shaw was a first team all-league defensive lineman.
