All scoring came from the combination of Hugo Bejarano and Hayden Callicotte Saturday as Swanton bested visiting Rossford 6-3 in non-league boys soccer.

Bejarano had four goals and Callicotte two.

Rossford grabbed the lead first when Jordan Clark slammed in a goal at the 29:57 mark.

Swanton tied it later in the first half, at the 14:11 mark, on Callicotte’s score from the left side. He marked his second goal just under five minutes later with a close-range shot.

The halftime advantage would be 3-1 at the half after Bejarano lofted one in the back of the net at the 3:37 mark.

Swanton changed goalkeepers in the second half and Rossford was able to take advantage.

They cut it to 3-2 on Bethwel Kiptoo’s blast from approximately 25 yards out that just cleared the keeper’s hands with 33:07 left.

Then, a John Rust touch for Rossford made it past both a Swanton defender and the goalie, tying it at 3-3 at the 24:32 mark.

Swanton broke the tie nearly four minutes later on a Bejarano breakaway, who fired it past Rossford’s keeper who came out too far. Bejarano’s next goal was more impressive, a shot that was delivered when he was near the end line to the left of the goal, and it found its way into the net for a 5-3 Swanton lead with 14:12 remaining.

He added another with 10:04 to go to equal the final tally.

Swanton (4-8-1) next hosts Bryan Thursday and travels to Otsego on Saturday.
