The Swanton golf team went 2-1 in three home matches last week. On Tuesday, Sept. 3 they defeated Lake, the next day they fell to Anthony Wayne, but followed that up with a Northwest Ohio Athletic League win over Liberty Center.

The Bulldogs shot a 187 in the win over Lake. Garrett Swank was medalist with a 40, Brady Lemons shot a 42, Sam Betz 50, while Gabe Swartz and Raymond Schad both shot a 55.

Lemons carded a 44 to lead Swanton versus Anthony Wayne. Swank and Betz each shot a 47, while Schad had a 48.

Swanton is now 2-1 in the league after Thursday’s 174-224 win over the Tigers. Swank and Betz were co-medalists with a 41, Lemons added a 42, and Swartz 50.

Although they did not contribute to the team’s final score, Blaine Pawlowicz finished with a 53 and Schad 55.

Swanton hosts Northwood Monday and welcomes Central Catholic and Whitmer for a tri-match this Wednesday at 4 p.m.
