A free session is slated by the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center for parents of gifted and talented children. It will be held Sept. 16 from 3:45-4:45 p.m. at the service center, 205 Nolan Parkway, Archbold.
The free parent group session will be conducted as an open and interactive discussion. It is designed for parents wanting to learn more about gifted instruction and services. It follows a full day session on the topic for K-12 administrators and teachers.
At the session, parents can take part in a discussion about the common myths about gifted students, ask the presenter specific information about raising a gifted child, and gain awareness about the social/emotional needs and tendenciesed and behaviors displayed by the child.
The Parent Group session is open to parents and K-12 educators living or working in NwOESC districts (Defiance, Fulton, Henry, and Williams counties). For questions, email Renee Long at email@example.com.
No registration is required.
