Swanton Village Council last week approved a leaf collection agreement for this fall.

Lammon Brothers will continue to do the leaf pick-up in Swanton for three years, under the agreement. The cost to the village is $22,000, which is an increase of $500.

This year, leaves will be picked up on certain days for different areas of the village. The collection schedule will be very similar to brush pick up.

Also at the meeting, council approved Oct. 27 as the village’s trick-or-treat day.

Legislation to amend sections of the zoning code was tabled. Rosanna Hoelzle, village administrator, said final wording was not complete prior to the council meeting.
