Join other educators from throughout the county for “Teacher Day” and an author book-signing event on Friday, Aug. 10, 2 p.m., at the Museum of Fulton County, 8848 State Route 108 in Wauseon.
Educators will receive free admission and the opportunity to take a guided tour, with special emphasis on educational themes and how local history can inform subjects, from U.S. history to the maths and sciences.
There will be a book-signing by local author James N. Figy, who was born 90 years ago and recounts his experiences and memories of growing up and living in Fulton County. His books also shares tips on how to become involved in the community and change through service to others.
The museum also features the permanent exhibit, “Preserving the Past, Embracing the Present, and Making the Future.”
