Summer reading program also planned for Swanton teens

This summer at the Swanton Public Library, teens can read it to win it. All who have just finished grades 6-12 are welcome to participate in the teen summer reading challenge.

To win, teens just need to read 400 minutes between June 11 and July 31. Teens who make it to 200 minutes receive a free Cheezy Bread certificate to Marco’s; winners who make it to 400 receive a free book of their choice, a stylus/flashlight/pen, an entry in the grand prize drawing, and an invitation to the end-of-summer pizza party in August.

Every 400 minutes past 400 garners another free book and another entry in the drawing. The drawings for the grand prizes will take place at the August pizza party. Prizes to win will be a $50 cash gift card, $20 gift card to Barnes & Noble, four Skye Cinema movie passes, restaurant gift certificates, and more.

After June 11, go to the library website at swantonpubliclibrary.org/teens/teen-summer to print out a reading calendar, or come to the library to pick one up. Teens can also win a weekly small prize for every 50 minutes read. Check the reading calendar to see what prize is on offer for which week.
