Swanton High School will present this year’s musical program, “Rock of Ages” on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“Rock of Ages” is the story of a small town girl and big city boy who fall in love while chasing their dreams of becoming a rock star in Los Angeles. Set in 1987, this musical performance includes some of the greatest rock songs of the 80s and will transform you back in time for the evening with an amazingly talented cast.
“They have worked really hard to make it all come together and can’t wait to share their excitement with the audience,” said director Julie Zedlitz.
Cast members include Damien Boyer as Lonny Barnett, Ricky Alfsen as Drew Boley, Ally Hendricks as Sherrie Christian, Zach Rippke as Dennis Dupree, Donovan Avalos as Stacee Jaxx, Abby Arnold as Justice Charlier, Olivia Williams as Hilda Klineman, Justyn Bartlett as Franz Klineman, and Kendra Keefer as Anita Bath.
Other cast members include Alex Webb, Toni Hooker, Joey Webb, Kirsten Truckor, Khloe Yunker, Dylan Gilsdorf, Ashlynn Waddell, Megan Maguire, Cydney Christensen, Brier Cook, Mikayla Rochelle, Amber Torres, Haley Nelson, Brad Parks, Hannah Grabke, Derek Floyd, Brett Bettinger, and Jarrod Hensel.
You can catch this year’s performance on Friday or Saturday at 7:30 p.m., or Sunday at 2 p.m. General admission is $7 per ticket and can be purchased in advance or at the door, and reserved seating can be purchased in advance for $15 per ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the high school office from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The cast and crew is excited to rock out with the audience this year and encourages everyone to join in the fun and wear their best “80’s” gear to the show.
