Good Grief of Northwest Ohio will hold its spring reception in May with John Betts as the special guest. Betts is a father who kept a promise and used his grief for good.
His son David was one of seven people killed in the Bluffton University bus crash March 2, 2007 as the baseball team was making its way to Florida for a spring game.
In the 11 years since the tragedy, John Betts has kept the promise he made in the aftermath of the crash: He would do everything he could to keep someone else’s kid from suffering a similar fate.
This event is open to the public and will held May 3 form 6-8 p.m. at Sylvania Country Club. Tickets are $75 per person. Call 419-360-4939, or visit www.goodgriefnwo.org to purchase tickets.
Proceeds benefit the programming at Good Grief of NW Ohio.
