McQuade, Rupp to be honored by OBA

The president of the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) will visit Bowling Green on Monday, Sept. 28, to speak to area attorneys about current issues facing the legal profession and to recognize six area lawyers. During his visit, attorneys Richard B. McQuade Jr. of Swanton, David P. Rupp Jr. of Archbold will be recognized. The meeting begins at 11:30 a.m.

John D. Holschuh Jr., 2015-16 OSBA president, will address the OSBA District 3 annual luncheon meeting at Stone Ridge Golf Club, 1553 Muirfield Dr., Bowling Green. OSBA District 3 includes 507 members who practice in Defiance, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert, Williams and Wood counties.

William A. Bish of Bryan, Anthony L. Gretick of Bryan, McQuade, Rupp and Daniel T. Spitler of Bowling Green will be recognized for their 50 years of service to the profession. Emily C. Samlow of Bowling Green will receive the Ohio State Bar Foundation Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under.

Alan J. Lehenbauer, District 3 representative on the OSBA Board of Governors, will preside over the meeting. Emily C. Samlow, president of the Wood Country Bar Association, will deliver welcoming remarks. OSBA members are welcome to attend the business meeting at no charge.

An hour-long “Access to Justice” seminar will be offered, beginning at 12:15 p.m., as part of the luncheon program. Prior to the noon luncheon meeting and recognition, an optional 2.5-hour continuing legal education (CLE) professional conduct seminar will be offered from 8:30 to 11 a.m. (registration begins at 8 a.m.).
