Swanton Public Library Board of Trustees will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the library. The organizational meeting is first followed by the regular business meeting. The public is welcome to attend.

Thursday, Jan. 19

Clifford Celebration for grades K-5, 10:30 a.m., Swanton Public Library. Celebrate man’s best friend at the library. Read Clifford the Big Red Dog stories, play dog games, decorate Clifford cookies, and meet a real live assistance dog! Register online, at the front desk, or by phone.

Cardmaking, 6:30-8 p.m., Swanton Public Library. Ongoing series of cardmaking classes with instructor Anna Geis starts up again in January with some wonderful cards expressing love. A $5 supply fee covers three cards. Children 8 years and older are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Registration is required; please call (419) 826-2760, come in, or visit the library website.

Weekly/Monthly Event

Swanton Garden Club will hold monthly meetings. They will meet the third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. Anyone interested is welcome to attend. Call Jan Heyman at 419-206-2047 or Elfrieda Jewell at 419-826-4129 prior to the meeting to find out the location.

Growing through Grief Bereavement Group will meet the fourth Tuesday of every month from 3:30-5 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 210 N. Main St., Swanton. Conducted by licensed bereavement counselors, the sessions are free and open to anyone in the community who is interested in attending. Pre-registration is required.
