Two Swanton High School sophomores have been selected to represent their class at the 2017 HOBY Leadership Conference.

Xavier Williams is being sponsored by the Swanton Area Community Coalition Board and Abigail Scicere is being sponsored by Swanton High School. Each student was chosen by completing an application and submitting an essay describing what leadership means to them.

Founded in 1958, HOBY’s mission is to inspire and develop our global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service and innovation.

HOBY programs are conducted annually throughout the United States, serving local and international high school students. HOBY programs provide students selected by their schools to participate in unique leadership training, service-learning and motivation-building experiences.

Williams and Scicere will be attending the HOBY Leadership Seminar June 8-11, 2017.
