The Fulton County Board of Elections has announced that there are now two available options to receive Fulton County and Ohio voter information from smart phones or tablets.
Both apps are free and are available in the Play Store for Android phones or in the App Store for iPhones. For the Ohio Voter Information App, search for “Ohio Voter Info” or “Ohio Voter Information.” For the Fulton County app, search “Fulton County, Ohio.”
All of the information available to both of the applications is considered public record information and is readily available at all Board of Elections offices. By using the app, the data is readily available.
Melanie Gilders, Board of Elections director, said with Fulton County releasing an app featuring a Board of Elections tab, and Triad, a county vendor, releasing an Ohio Voter Information app, “we feel like we are able to provide tools for quick and easy access to information that our candidates and voters are looking for.”
Both apps can provide a similar function: the Ohio Voter Information app is specifically geared towards voting information, and the Fulton County app features the Board of Elections icon, as well as many other county agencies and departments.
“I think it’s great that we have so many options for the public to choose which one best meets their needs,” Gilders said.
The apps make it possible to: see the residence address you currently have on file; update incorrect address information; view a person’s voting history; check the status of an absentee ballot; locate a polling place; view sample ballots; see your voting history.
The Ohio Voter Information app can be customized. Go to “Voter Settings,” in “Search County”; scroll to select county of residence; set the Push Notifications and email notifications to “on” by moving the button to the right; enter email address and phone number of the device where notices are desired; then select “Save Settings”; press “Voter Lookup” icon; fill “Last Name” and “First Name” then click on “Submit.”
To view the most current information on file, press “My Voter Info,” then “Save Settings” on next screen.
