Appraisal event scheduled

The Metamora Area Historical Society (MAHS) will host a verbal appraisal event Monday, Sept. 19, 4-7 p.m., in the Community Room of Evergreen Community Library, 253 Maple St.

Antique dealer Rob Palicki, who specializes in military items, guns, Native American items, and antique fishing equipment, will be featured. He is available to purchase items, and will donate 10 percent of sales to the historical society.

Also featured will be Mark and Jeanne Delauter from Trinity Liquidations Services, who will donate time to offer verbal appraisal estimates. They specialize in antique radios, but are knowledgeable about all antiques and current market values and trends. And Joe Rath of Montpelier will share his expertise in the areas of jewelry, tableware, silver items, and coins.

MAHS will collect a $5 donation per item visitors would like evaluated. Four appraisers will be on site to give assessments of the items brought in, and can give general appraisals in all areas, except dolls.

Walk-ins are welcome. Appointments are also available; call MAHS board member Alice Herrick at 419-644-2485.
