Nothing says summer in Northwest Ohio like the Fulton County Fair. The 2022 Fulton County Fair begins Friday and runs through next Thurdsay.

The Fulton County Fair is known for its delicious fair food, agricultural and livestock competitions, arts and crafts, and a midway packed with games and rides. “We are proud of how true we have stayed to our agricultural roots here in Fulton County, and it is part of what keeps us one of the top County Fairs in Ohio,” Fair Board President Ron Rice said.

Along with plenty of free entertainment, the Fulton County Fair is excited to announce the grandstand entertainment. Entertainment for the 2022 Fair includes classic rock bands 38 Special and Night Ranger on Sunday and country music star Jimmie Allen on Monday.

After more than four decades, 38 Special continues to bring their signature blast of Southern Rock to over 100 cities a year. At each and every show, thousands of audience members are amazed by the explosive power of the band’s performance.

The band is probably best known for its 80s hits “Hold on Loosley” and “Caught Up in You.” Other top 40 hits include “Back Where You Belong,” “Second Chance,” and “If I’d Been the One.”

Guitarist and vocalist Don Barnes, an original member, still performs, along with Bobby Capps, Gary Moffatt, Barry Dunaway, and Jerry Riggs.

Hard rockers, Night Ranger, recently released their 12th studio album and are touring this summer.

Their popularity is fueled by a number of recognizable hit singles and signature album tracks, including titles such as “Sister Christian”, “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me”, “When You Close Your Eyes”, the anthemic “(You Can Still) Rock In America”, along with “Sentimental Street”, “Goodbye”, “Sing Me Away”, and “Four in the Morning”.

Original members Kelly Keagy, Jack Blades, and Brad Gillis continue to rock for audiences, along with Eric Levy and Keri Kelli.

Tickets range in price from $36 to $65. The $65 tickets are for VIP track spots, which are standing room only in the area directly in front of the stage.

Country music star Jimmie Allen will take the grandstand stage on Labor Day. Allen received his first ACM nomination for New Male Artist of the Year in 2019, a CMA Awards nomination for New Artist of the Year in 2020, subsequently winning the ACM Award for New Male Artist of the Year as well as the CMA New Artist of the Year Award in 2021.

His singles “Best Shot”, “Make Me Want To”, and “Freedom was a Highway” all hit number one on the Country Airplay chart.

American Idol winner Chayce Beckham will open for Allen.

Ticket prices range from $28 to $60 and are on sale now at at www.fultoncountyfair.com.
