Kids can read to therapy dog at SPL

The Swanton Public Library will host Reading Paws this this month.

Reading Paws combines kids, dogs, and books. Children sign up to read aloud for 20 minutes to a certified therapy dog, who is happy just to listen. Improve reading skills and have fun reading with a friendly dog at the same time.

Australian shepherd Natty will be at the library on two Saturdays this month, July 9 and 23, from 10 a.m. to noon. Kids can read to her in 20-minute slots. Six slots are available.

For more information or to register, call 419-826-2760, visit or visit the library at 305 Chestnut St.
