SHS students visit Federal Courthouse

TOLEDO – Swanton High School accounting students were invited to the Federal Courthouse in Toledo on March 18.

They were given time to meet and speak with Judge Jack Zouhary on the role that accounting plays in the careers of those attached to the judicial system. Students were also given time to meet with Mike Freeman, Assistant U.S. Attorney, Claire Cahoon, Assistant Federal Public Defender, Justina Phillips-Smith, Supervisory U.S. Pretrial Services & Probation Officer, Matt Crossman, Deputy U.S. Marshal and Angela Nixon, Court Reporter.

Swanton accounting students are part of a two-year program that is funded through Penta Career Center with students receiving college credit with their high school course work.
