SPL plans adult programs

The Swanton Public Library has events coming up for adults this month.

Card making will be held Thursday at 5 p.m. Handmade cards can be made in time for Mother’s Day. If you have mom covered you can still make a card for any of the women in your life.

The Online Book Club is back, and this time they’re matching books with discussion podcasts. Read along at your own rate, and listen along with the selected podcast in between. April’s title is by Japanese mystery author Seishi Yokomizo, featuring the dark family whodunit “The Inugami Curse.” Book kits are limited.

Optional video discussion will be held on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

The Toastbusters Cookbook Club will meet April 26 at 5:30 p.m. To honor the upcoming installment of a library garden, one of the librarians will be taking time to talk to participants about how to grow a kitchen garden—even in small spaces—and ways to use some of those weird little green things you find in garden centers around town.

Participants will have the chance to bring home culinary herb seeds and plant cuttings if they so choose. This program is free to attend, but registration is requested.
