The Lucas County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the death of two people in Spencer Township.
Fire officials responded to a house fire at 1710 Berkey Road northeast of Swanton at 10:46 a.m. Thursday morning. Two people were found deceased in the house.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may not have been the cause of death, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The bodies were transported to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office where officials will seek to positively identify the deceased persons and determine the cause of death.
