Swanton High School accounting students had the privilege of touring Cabela’s of Dundee, Michigan on Jan. 27.

The tour introduced the behind the scenes operations of this successful retail chain that also ranks as the number one tourist attraction in the state of Michigan. Students were able witness the role of accounting in the areas of inventory analysis, payroll, marketing, departmentalization, asset protection and corporate planning.

Swanton accounting students are enrolled through The Penta Career Center and are receiving college accounting credit through the College Credit Plus option.
