The Village of Swanton will provide a bulk drop off day for its residents on Saturday, Sept. 18. Residents may drop off items at the Municipal Building, 219 Chestnut St., between 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Identification and proof of residency are required.
There are some restrictions. There is a limit of two pick-up, trailer or equal loads of trash. Full trailer and full bed of a truck counts as two trips.
Items not accepted include leaves, grass clippings, brush, tree limbs, tires, motor oil, vehicle bodies, engines, rocks, bricks, concrete, asphalt, construction materials, chemicals, oils, gas, ammunition, explosives, refrigerators, air conditioners or other appliances containing Freon, and televisions. All containers mush be empty with lids removed.
Recycle IT USA will also be on site to collect items including computers, servers, monitors, cameras, camcorders, printers, keyboards, mice, scanners, projectors, video game consoles, cell phones, PDAs, speakers and stereo equipment, memory, storage devices and flash drives.
AllShred will be there to collect documents for secure shredding. There is a limit of five letter size banker boxes per household.
