The Swanton Public Library is continuing the virtual do-it-at-home book clubs for all ages.
There are four age categories: grades K-3, grades 3-5, grades 5-8, and grades 9-12. There’s some overlap so readers can choose which book you’d prefer to read.
Every book will come with a blank review form, a few questions you can think about, and a few small activities or crafts that tie into the book. All we ask is that you read the book: do as much or as little of the rest of it as you want! Visit the library to pick up your free book and packet, either in person or via curbside service.
There will also be a post for each book on https://www.splyouth.org for anyone who wants to discuss the book or comment on any of the questions or activities. Included review sheets can also be filled out. Anyone who posts or brings back anything included with the book will also get a small prize at the library.
The books are: “Amelia Bedelia” by Peggy Parish for grades K-3, “How to Train Your Dragon” by Cressida Cowell for grades 3-5, “Tuesday at the Castle” by Jessica Day George for grades 5-8, and “The False Prince” by Jennifer A. Nielsen for grades 9-12.
