Lucas SWCD holding tree sale

The Lucas Soil and Water Conservation District is accepting orders for the Annual Tree, Shrub, and Garden Sale now through Friday, March 26.

This year’s sale features native hardwoods including Swamp White Oak, Sweetgum, Eastern Redbud and flowering shrubs like Northern Bayberry, Buttonbush, and Winterberry. Also available are evergreens like Norway Spruce and White Pine as well as a Backyard Habitat Packet, Fruit Tree Packet, and Native Seed Packets which contain seeds collected locally from the Oak Openings Region.

Whether it is replacing turf grass with native plants or planting a 100-foot long windbreak on a farm, thry take pride in offering the trees and planting or maintenance information in order to be successful.

There are two ways to place an order: Fill out the order form found in the SWCD’s Spring 2021 newsletter and mail it to our office along with payment, or place the order online at LucasSWCD.org/treesale.
