With great excitement the Swanton Area Community Coalition has teamed up with Arrowhead Behavioral for a free workshop for all Swanton adults. It will be held on June 25, from 5:30-6 p.m. at the Swanton Municipal Office; Village Council Room entrance.
“Experts at Arrowhead Behavioral Health will share tips to identify signs of substance use,” said Andrea Smith, executive director of the Swanton Area Community Coalition. “We will be reviewing summer trends through clinical observations—which every resident will benefit from knowing. Let’s stop the negative substance abuse trends in the community before they start.”
She added that the coalition believes in prevention before intervention as a key strategy.
“By equipping adults with current local and national youth-risk-behavior trends, we all can enjoy the benefits of a community filled with healthy and developing young adults,” said Smith. “We know that this is something the Swanton area community wants.”
Pizza will be provided and the first 10 people to arrive will receive Speedway gift cards. To RSVP please email [email protected] or call 419-826-1222.
