Lucas County will be holding a modified fair July 13-19 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The primary focus is the 4H and FFA youth presenting their projects for judging. With that in mind all projects that the youth have worked on for this year’s fair will be exhibited and judged.
The Board asked everyone to keep in mind that everything will look a little different than prior years. They are communicating with the County Commissioners office, Lucas County Department of Health and Lucas County EMA and working on guidelines.
Final details have not been announced, but there will be rides and games during the fair this year, according to a release from the Fair Board President Shane H. Warner. The Senior Fair Board has voted to cancel the Open Show Arts & Crafts for 2020.
Due to current guidelines and safety they have also cancelled Air Dogs, rodeo, and Tug a Truck. Food vendors and merchants will be here all week along with 4H and FFA projects.
Final details will be available soon and an updated fair schedule will be posted at lucascountyfair.com.
