Water shut-offs will resume this August in the Village of Swanton.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Director of the Ohio EPA issued an order which prohibited public water systems from disconnecting water service to customers for non-payment. Effective July 10, the Ohio EPA will lift the temporary moratorium preventing public water systems from disconnecting water service for non-payment.
The Village of Swanton will reinstate the water-shut off procedure, for non-payment of utility bills Aug. 3.
Those with questions on utility account balance are asked to contact the village by July 31 in order to have questions answered before Aug. 3. Water customers can visit villageofswantonohio.us/residents/utility-billing/ and follow the pay your utility bill after October 1 link or call 419-826-9515.
