At the 2016 General Assembly of members of the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments held last Monday, at the Holiday Inn French Quarter, Perrysburg, Craig Stough, mayor of the City of Sylvania was elected chair of the Board of Trustees; and Richard Edwards, mayor of the City of Bowling Green, was elected vice chair.
At the annual business meeting TMACOG members also approved a change to bylaws which disbanded the Environmental Council and formally established a new Water Quality Council. This reorganization was the result of member priorities and a desire to more directly address water quality issues on a region-wide basis.
A keynote address was presented by representatives of the 180th Fighter Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard.
