Gerken, Hood square off in commissioner primary

Staff Report

It may seem hard to believe, but the 2016 primary election is now less than two months away. Ohio’s primary is slated for March 15 and will feature presidential, congressional and local primaries.

In the race for Lucas County Commissioner, incumbent Pete Gerken will face off against Spencer Township Trustee Michael B. Hood. Former Toledo Mayor Michael Bell is running uncontested for the Republican spot and will face the winner of the Democratic primary in November.

Incumbent commissioner Tina Skeldon Wozniak is running unopposed in both the primary and general election.

No other Lucas County races have contested primaries.
