Swanton girls soccer coach Jim Dickman was guest speaker at the Thursday Rotary Club meeting. He was joined by soccer players Taylor Dohm, left, and Shae Lynn Hallowell.
The Swanton Rotary Club hosted Swanton High School head girls soccer coach Jim Dickman as its guest speaker on Thursday. Dickman brought along seniors Taylor Dohm and Shae Lynn Hallowell for lunch with the club where he talked about the successful season had by the team and the excitement of being involved in a district championship post-season tournament run.
December Swanton Rotary Club Senior Students of the Month are Claire Leidigh and Lindsey Fickel. Leidigh and Fickel both gave the club brief bios about themselves and were accompanied by their parents.
They also recognized Justin Reckner and Andrew Carr as the teachers who had the greatest impact on their educational career. The Rotary Club plans to honor one teacher at the end of the school year with the “golden apple award” from those teachers acknowledged by the students throughout the course of the year. Congratulations to each of your young people as well as their teachers and coach.
