Lunar family night set for Swanton Public Library


Programs for grades 6-12 also planned

The Swanton Public Library has planned multiple events for kids in the coming weeks.

Lunar Family Night will be held Tuesday, July 16, beginning at 6 p.m. Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the launch of the moon-landing mission Apollo 11.

Don Lee will be on hand to do caricatures, and participants can have space photos taken as well. Stellar fun, food, games, crafts, and more will be included.

There is no need to register; just show up and have fun.

There are also three programs coming up for kids in grades 6-12.

Water games will be held from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25. They will have a mini-pool party on the lawn outside the library, with free snacks, water balloons, water war games, and more.

There is no registration required.

An alien autopsy is planned for 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, for weird things, aliens, UFOs, and more. Teens attend according to the grade just completed.

No registration required for the free program.

Then on Wednesday, July 17 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. the Anime Club will meet. This month, they’ll watch four episodes of anime chosen by the attendees or by the random button.
