Giving Tree helps brighten a child’s Christmas

The Swanton Lions Club is once again sponsoring the Giving Tree project to help Swanton children in need to have a Merry Christmas.

They ask for the help of area residents. Just remove a card from a stocking and follow the suggestions for purchasing an appropriate gift for the child listed. If you don’t want to shop, but want to help, cash donations are also accepted.

The stockings are located at First Federal of Swanton, Club Salon, Wing Station, Patty & Company, and Swanton American Legion. All unwrapped gifts should be returned to these locations by Friday, Dec. 11 with the tags. For those who get a tag at the Christmas Craft Show, you may drop gifts off at any of the above locations. The club needs time to wrap, notify families, and shop for those still left on the Giving Trees.

For pick-up, special donations, or questions, please 419-826-9751.

The Swanton Lions Club thankful for all that have contributed this year and the businesses that presented the Giving Trees. Over 150 children in the Swanton area will now have a Merry Christmas thanks to the contributions.
