The 161st annual Lucas County Fair will be held July 9-14 at the Lucas County Fairgrounds in Maumee, offering something for just about everybody.
Musical acts include The Menus on Thursday at 8 p.m., Brent Lowry Friday at 8 p.m., and 56 Daze at 7 p.m. Saturday with opening act Chris Shutters & Muddy.
Other entertainment includes the Tommy Wylie Memorial Tug-A-Truck on Sunday at 1 p.m. Broken Horn Rodeo will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, and Ultimate Air Dogs on Sunday.
On Tuesday at 7 p.m., there will be a Firefighter Challenge. Four person teams will compete in a four second obstacle course.
There will also be a kiddie pedal tractor pull, 3-on-3 basketball, and archery and air rifle training at the Cleland’s Shooting Area. A Christmas in July Fair will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Gate admission to the fair is $6 with children 12 and under getting in free of charge. On Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., gate admission is free for everyone. Parking is $5 per vehicle.
On the first two days ride tickets are $5 per person, per session. The first session is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the second session is 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. An all-day ride pass can be purchased for $8.
Thursday through Saturday, ride tickets are $5 per person for the first session and $10 for the second session. An all-day ride pass can be bought for $12.
On Sunday, an all-day ride pass can be purchased for $5.
Tuesday is OSU Extension Day, Wednesday is Veterans and Senior Day, and Thursday is Farm Bureau Day.
