No, they aren’t witches. They got the name from their customers. They have done craft shows for over 40 years.
Irene Notman and her sister Rose Rade first started out in the back of their dad’s old pickup truck. Irene has been a Swanton resident for over 25 years. Her friend Karan Hall, who does the paperwork and banking, is also a Swanton resident.
They do everything from Christmas, Halloween to shabby chic and fairy items, along with farm items. Two years ago, Notman’s youngest sister Cindy Alsobrooks joined by making mostly signs, she does custom orders. Irene’s daughter Amy Jeffries will help in store. Her son’s girlfriend Penny Martin also likes to help on the miniature items. It’s therapy for all of them.
They are hoping to expand in the future. Witchy Sisters can also be found on Facebook.
Normal hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday.
