The Lucas Soil and Water Conservation District is partnering with the Rain Garden Initiative and The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium to offer a Make & Take Rain Barrel Workshop on June 30. The Workshop will be held between 3-6 p.m. at The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium.
During the workshop, attendees will learn the purpose of rain barrels and then be led through a step-by-step process to make their own. When registering, attendees will select a half hour time-slot during which they will build their rain barrel. The cost is $35 per barrel, and this includes all the materials and tools necessary. Pre-registration is required.

Complimentary parking will be available at the zoo’s main entrance located off the Anthony Wayne Trail. The workshop will be held in the Carson Family Education Center, located at the main entrance, behind the Visitor Services building.
