CINCINNATI – The administration of the University of Cincinnati has announced their Dean’s List for the spring quarter of the 2014-15 academic year.
Since the various colleges within UC have their unique standards, there is not a common requirement in grade point average; only full time students can qualify for Dean’s List.

BLUFFTON, Ohio – During Bluffton University’s 115th annual commencement ceremony held on May 3, 254 students graduated with their degrees. Below are some local residents who graduated from Bluffton University.
Swanton: Jordan Turner, Bachelor of Science – biology; Gerald Zalecki, Bachelor of Business – organizational management.
DEFIANCE – Defiance College recently announced scholarship awards for the 2015-2016 academic year. Awards are given to students in the following categories – Presidential, Dean’s, Pilgrim, Trustee, and Achievement – with dollar amounts ranging from $10,000 to $22,000. Additionally, students can be awarded a Service Leadership Award recognizing their commitment to service in their community, and the DC Marching Band and Music Talent Awards for students excelling in music performance. Students must attend the college’s fall or spring Scholarship Day event to qualify for scholarships.
Among those who have been awarded and have accepted a Defiance College scholarship is Haley Powers, Swanton, who was awarded the Achievement Scholarship and Service Leadership Award. Haley, daughter of Kim and Jeff Powers, is a student at Swanton High School/Penta Career Center and involved with Business Professionals of America, SkillsUSA and the Swanton Marching Bulldog Band.
University of Findlay
FINDLAY – Natalie Brock, of Swanton has graduated from the University of Findlay. Brock earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and animal science. Brock graduated from the University with the academic designation of cum laude.
Brock was invited to walk in the University’s commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 2.
