A house fire in Swanton on Thursday resulted in a total loss, according to Fire Chief Howard Myers.
A fire crew called to 105 Hickory St. at 12:57 a.m. found the residence fully engulfed in flames. The occupants had safely fled the structure.
Firefighters had the blaze under control within an hour, but the house was determined a total loss. There were no injuries.
Myers said the fire started in the rear, and is not considered suspicious in nature. The state fire marshal is investigating the cause.
The Fulton County Auditor’s website lists the owner as Julie Zolciak, and the appraised value at $74,800.
Swanton firefighters were assisted by fire crews from Delta and Metamora.
