Local residents are invited to come and talk trees with Amy Stone of OSU Extension in Lucas County. The session will include hints on tree selection, how to properly plant and mulch trees in the landscape, maintenance, pest control.
Participants will receive tree related hand-outs. Additional information on the gypsy moth and management options for homeowners will also be shared, since this pest has returned to several areas within the county. Information on soil testing will also be made available for anyone interested in testing their soil for the 2016 season.
Two more Tree-Talk programs will be held in November: Wednesday, Nov. 18 at the Heatherdowns Branch Library; and Tuesday, Nov. 24 at the Sanger Branch Library. All programs will begin at 7 p.m., and conclude at 8 p.m.
