Young ghosts and goblins will be treated to a hoopla before trick-or-treating this Saturday. The annual Halloween Hoopla will be held from 3-5 p.m. in downtown Swanton.
Several local businesses will participate in the event, which is coordinated by Swanton Lions Club and Ashley Stambaugh. Children will be able to trick-or-treat at businesses in the downtown area.
But the Hoopla event goes well beyond that. It will also include games, a straw maze, food, pumpkin decorating, pedal cart races, a DJ and bouncy houses. Again this year, members of the Daryl Jervis Dance Studio will perform thriller at 3:30 p.m., 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Contact Stambaugh with any questions about the event at email@example.com.
Trick-or-treating in the Village of Swanton will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
