• Rev. Joseph A. Meyers named as new pastor at St. Richard.
• Playing at the La France Theater in Swanton was “Song of the Islands” starring Betty Grable and “To The Shores of Tripoli” staring John Payne.
90 Years Ago

• A faculty of 17 teachers announced for Swanton school, including first year principal Karl Zartman.

• Work on the $160,000 addition to the school was progressing. It included four new class rooms, together with the domestic science department, the agriculture department, and the science laboratories. The new building also housed the library, heating plant, gymnasium, and auditorium.
